The collected works of pioneering photographer Roman Vishniac (1887-1990) have found a home in The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at UC Berkeley. Here The Magnes' curator, Francesco Spagnolo, and Koret professor of Jewish history John Efron take us on a tour of some of the many areas touched by Vishniac's camera from pre-World War II Jewish life in Eastern Europe to celebrity portraits like those of Albert Einstein to storks and microscopy.
