The Alto Tunnel Study is wrapping up and the findings were presented at a community meeting on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. The purpose of the study was to observe the structural condition of the inside of the Alto Tunnel. The new study's results will be used by decision-makers to help determine the tunnel’s future, whether to leave it as it is, to use the tunnel as a nonmotorized pathway, or to close it permanently.
