On March 6th, local insurance experts, law enforcement agencies, fire agencies, public land managers and Marin residents came together for a community conversation about Marin's preparedness for a major fire catastrophe. The meeting was spearheaded by the "Wildland Fire Preparedness subcommittee" of the County Board of Supervisors. The intent was to leverage community input and lessons learned from the October North Bay and Southern California fires to develop potential strategies for boosting Marin's preparedness for a significant fire disaster.
