Scientists at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) say that this year's super El Nino will have a devastating impact - and their fears are well- founded. Signs confirming those warnings are growing. El Nino is a weather phenomenon that appears every few years in the Pacific region. When the event takes place, the water in the eastern Pacific warms, while that in the west gets cooler.
