A City of San Rafael sales tax, Measure E ballot question is on the November 5, 2013, election ballot for voters in the city of San Rafael. Measure E would renew a 0.5% sales tax approved in Measure S by voters in 2005. Measure E would also authorize a 0.25% tax increase or 25 cents per $100 of purchase or $2.50 on a $1,000 purchase. The resulting total sales tax rate for city residents, if Measure E is approve, would be 9.25%.
