More and more people are decking not just the halls, but also the exteriors of their houses, with elaborate Christmas displays. Sometimes it almost resembles a local competition. Among the seasonal illuminations there’s a 30-meter-long sleigh and reindeer installation that glides through the air to impress all and sundry. Elsewhere a monitoring system has been installed to keep the 60,000 lights in the garden from secret night-time attacks by envious neighbors armed with hedge clippers.
