This video features The McLean steam powered saw mill in Port Alberni, Part 1 looks at the donkey steam engine. This engine was used in the field to move the logs into position to load onto either rail cars or trucks. Part 2 is the actual steam saw mill. All the moving machinery is powered by a single steam engine below the floor of the mill.
