On October 4, 2012, Marin County celebrated National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The event featured Anthony Sauer, Director of California Department of Rehabilitation, Eli Gelardin, Director of Marin Center for Independent Living, plus representatives from California Foundation for Independent Living. The focus of the event is to raise awareness of the disability rights movement history and exchange ideas on building an inclusive workforce in Marin.
